The time frame for passing the state examination of design documentation and the time frame for construction of capital construction projects will also be reduced.

On behalf of the Moscow Government, the issue of development and inclusion in this Register of Projects is handled by the Department of Urban Development Policy of the City of Moscow. Currently, 7 projects of children’s educational institutions for 120, 190, 225, 250, 280 and 300 places and 1 project of a primary school block have already been included in the Register of Standard Project Documentation with the status “standard project”.

According to the head of the Department, Sergei Levkin, these projects are already being implemented at several addresses in Moscow and the Moscow region, and he emphasized that despite the fact that, basically, standard projects are used in the construction of city-ordered facilities, there are examples of their use by investors.

“If there is a standard project that has passed the examination, all that is required is its “linking” to a specific land plot taking into account geological conditions, availability utility networks and so on. Accordingly, the design cost is reduced by 1.5–2 times, depending on the type of object. And we save up to 70 percent of time, since the facility does not have to be designed from scratch. Not only the city budget is interested in such saving of time and finances, but also investors, who are increasingly turning to standard projects,” notes
